The multiplier event of the Erasmus+ project ReCreate History through 3D, Game Design and Virtual Reality was implemented on March 30, 2023. The event was held at the premises of Delavski dom Trbovlje, Slovenia. Some participants who attended the event were EVS volunteers from different EU countries volunteering at Youth Center Trbovlje (ZMTŠ Trbovlje, Slovenia). We wanted to disseminate the ideas of the project beyond the local and regional levels.
The objectives of the multiplier event were:
1. to launch the intellectual output of the project and invite the participants to use them in practice;
2. to disseminate resources at the national and international level;
3. to present students’’ projects from all partner countries;
4. to establish contact between institutions and organisations active in the field of formal and non-formal education, creativity and culture.
The first two objectives were met by presenting the intellectual outputs and the project’s background. We shared the website of the project recreate.gaminu.eu and the website https://play.gaminu.eu/ where all the lessons can be found in 4 languages (English, Slovene, Lithuanian, Romanian).
The third objective was met by the fact that we invited 2 of the school partners of the project to present the students’ results at the event. Danijela Brložnik, a project coordinator from Gimnazija Jurija Vege, participated in the event and presented the students’ work. Irina Ioniță, our colleague from Gheorghe Asachi Technical College, Botoșani, Romania, joined the event online and presented the Romanian students’ project.
The fourth objective was met in many ways. Firstly, the event was organised on the premises of Delavski dom Trbovlje. The organisation runs several similar projects, so mutual learning was valuable for all of us. Aside from that, we had guest speakers from Ljudska univerza Trbolje, Delavski dom Trboclje and Kibla Maribor, who presented their experiences with Digital writing of memories that keep the cultural heritage alive. Contact between institutions and organisations active in the field of formal and non-formal education, creativity and culture, was developed, since participants of the event were coming from Library Trbovlje, Municipality Trbovlje, Youth Center Trbolvlje, Students Centre of Trbovlje, Delavski dom Trbovlje (one of their employees is also a teacher in the local secondary school) and Ljudska Univerza.
The event included an introduction to the overall project, a presentation of the project results, an exchange of knowledge and experiences, lunch, an introduction to the developed training tool and an evaluation session that was done orally.
