“ReCreate History through 3D, Game Design and Virtual Reality” – a project during which we aim to interest students by means of integrated teaching of cultural heritage and technology.
At least 150 high school students from Lithuania, Slovenia and Romania collected material and created stories about the selected cultural heritage object.
3D models of objects and related computer games are currently being developed.
On November 10-11, 2022 project partners gathered at Šilalė Simon Gaudėšius Gymnasium to share the project news, discuss the aspects of improving the methodological material and plan the rest of the project activities. The interim results of the teacher and student survey were presented.
We also got to know the Šilalė high school, visited the classrooms and laboratories, the extracurricular activities and leisure spaces of the students. After the meeting, we had a small cultural program: we visited the Panemune Castle exposition and tasted a traditionally baked kugel in the “Keltininkas” bistro.
Testing of the methodology will take place until the end of January next year, and the project will end in March 2023. We will invite all those interested to the project dissemination event, which is planned for February or March.
The project “ReCreate History through 3D, Game Design and Virtual Reality” is financed by the European Commission under the “Erasmus+” program. We implement it together with partners Šilalė Simon Gaudėšius High School, Lithuanian Archaeological Society, STEP Institute, Jurija Vege Idrija High School, Predict Consulting, Colegiul Tehnic “Gheorghe Asachi” Botosani.
